With forty-five years in film making, Chris is best known for directing the Oscar®-winning Frozen, Frozen 2, Wish, and Tarzan for Walt Disney’s feature animation, as well as Surf’s Up for Sony Pictures. As a father and artist, Chris’s role has always been to bring a light-heartedness to the world.
SHELLEY BUCK | Executive Producer
Shelley Buck was an award-winning sound editor for feature films before devoting her life to directing the colorful lives of her three boys. Her musical son, Ryder, whose destiny was foretold during infancy, was the inspiration for the book on which the film is based. He was larger than life, giving Shelley more than she bargained for as his mother. To honor his spirit and fulfill her own destiny, LEAVE YOUR LIGHT ON is the story Ryder asked her to tell from the beyond.
JENICA BERGERE | Director, Producer
Jenica is an actress, comedian, director, and producer known for her fearless performances and sharp comedic sensibilities. With a career spanning television, film, and stand-up, she has captivated audiences with her versatility and bold storytelling. As a filmmaker, she continues to push creative boundaries, producing and directing projects that resonate with authenticity and humor. Her latest film, For Worse, which she produced, is premiering at SXSW, marking another milestone in her dynamic career.
JAMIE SPARER ROBERTS | Producer, Casting Director
Jamie served as Head of Casting at Walt Disney Animation Studios for over 15 years. During her tenure, she worked on some of the most popular and highest-grossing animated films of all time, including Frozen (1&2), Moana, Encanto, Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled and Zootopia.
A Los Angeles native, Roberts is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts & Sciences and has over twenty-five years’ experience in casting film and television both animated and live-action.
JON FITZGERALD | Producer
Jon Fitzgerald has twenty-five years of experience in the film, internet and film festival communities, a rare leader with a unique combination of skills. As a filmmaker with Cause Pictures, he has produced a number of award-winning documentaries; and as a consultant, he has guided many independent film projects through the maze of festivals and hybrid distribution models. In 2012, he authored the 2nd Edition of Filmmaking for Change: Making Films that Transform the World.
